Governance Manager

Virtual1 is looking for a Governance Manager who has outstanding relationship-building skills, has a natural ability to manage projects and influence at all levels. This successful candidate will work closely with teams across the business to ensure accreditation and compliance with ISO 27001 in addition to defining and document processes to ensure organisational success and delivering value to our customers.

What you’ll be responsible for:

· Project lead on Information & IT security-related programmes such as ISO27001/ 22301.

· Facilitate cross-functional project team discussions to create current state and future state process models.

· Train and guide resources in process improvement techniques.

· Communicate with key stakeholders to analyse and recommend process improvement activities.

· Evaluating, in detail, a current operation from start to finish

· Analyzing the information to find areas of waste, duplication and frequent errors

· Developing a plan to implement changes

· Monitoring the results of the changes to ensure they are working

· Making continuous improvements and adjustments to maintain efficient operations

· Developing, monitoring, and elevating the performance of the company’s vital business systems and processes.

· Identify and define the multiple key steps in the production line

· Consulting with Business Analyst to ensure appropriate performance monitoring reports can be generated as a consequence of the process reengineering project – e.g. identifying where data points are missing or inconsistent and ensuring information is in a usable format for the analyst to rely upon.

· Work closely with the Product managers taking their lead on what is required in a comprehensive and robust process.

· Improve and maintain efficient and profitable operations that also produce the highest quality of products and services.

· Ensure that the team works in accordance with the approved company operating policies, procedures, practices and methods.

Essential skills:

· Extensive experience in IT Security and the ISO27001 security standard

· Customer-focused and passionate about Customer Experience

· Relationship building and stakeholder management

· Process Modelling: Knowledge of standards and techniques for modelling current state and desired state processes.

· Proven leadership skills and business acumen - performance driven.

· Strong knowledge and skills in workshop facilitation techniques.

· Broad strategic thinker, with clear vision and direction of world class change management.

· Strong interpersonal capabilities and ability to work cross-functionally with other

leaders on sensitive and/or emotional issues.


Desirable Criteria

· ITIL V3 foundation / practitioner

· Lean / Continuous Improvement skills (Six Sigma Greenbelt certification or equivalent is desirable, but not essential)

· Awareness of IL2 and ISO 9001 / ISO27001processes
